All-in-one music theory, ear training, and history course.

The Young Musicians Comprehensive Guide is an essential course in theory, ear training, and history — providing the skills every young musician needs to understand music more deeply and grow as an artist. By gaining context for classical music and strengthening core skills, students enrich their daily practice and performances and build the tools needed to confidently approach auditions and other advanced opportunities when the time comes.

Course Objectives

  • Deepen understanding of harmony and musical structure

  • Expand knowledge of music history and stylistic awareness

  • Strengthen ear training and rhythm skills through singing and exercises

  • Improve sight-reading and rhythmic fluency

  • Gain the tools to grow into confident, well-rounded musicians

Time

  • Monday evenings October–January (12 one-hour sessions)
