Studio Policy
New Students
To begin lessons, new students must complete the contact form and speak with a member of our faculty or staff.
After your trial lesson and once your regular schedule is confirmed, please join our Heylo group for studio updates.
Lesson Scheduling
Students should reserve their regular lesson times at the start of each semester through our Acuity scheduling page. Priority is given to families who travel over an hour and to those who register early.
For easy access to your lesson schedule, you may create an account on our Acuity scheduling page. ; this allows you to view upcoming lessons, make changes when needed, and receive confirmation emails. Reminder emails are also sent 24 hours before each lesson. If you do not receive a reminder—or if you receive one for a lesson you did not schedule—please contact your teacher to confirm your appointment.
Lesson times may occasionally be adjusted based on teacher performance schedules or commitments. In such cases, a Zoom lesson or a lesson with another Cremona instructor may be offered.
If a student needs to cancel or reschedule, we kindly request at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations made within 24 hours will incur a $25 late-cancellation fee.
Cancellations made within 6 hours of the scheduled lesson time will be charged at the full lesson rate, as this time cannot be offered to another student.
If your child begins to feel unwell, please notify us as early as possible, even if you are unsure about attending, so we can plan accordingly.
Absences without prior notice will also be charged at the full regular lesson rate.
During inclement weather or travel by the student or teacher, in-person lessons may be moved to Zoom.
Please understand that back-to-back lessons may occasionally run a few minutes over or begin slightly later.
Payment
Lesson and program tuition may be paid by cash, check, or Zelle 646-530-0434 (Cremona Music Studio). We no longer accept Venmo payments.
Please include the teacher’s name and lesson date in the memo, and submit payment before or within the week of the lesson.
Studio Etiquette
Please remove your shoes unless otherwise indicated for special events.
Restroom keys are available in the waiting area; restrooms are located on the 1st and 2nd floors. Please return keys after use. Toilet paper may occasionally be unavailable—feel free to take some from the studio if needed.
Students who arrive early may warm up in an open room.
We do not accept students currently studying with another teacher unless they are referred directly by that teacher.
Daily, consistent practice is essential. Teachers will provide guidance on appropriate practice duration based on each student’s level and goals.
Students and families are responsible for tracking competition and audition deadlines, scheduling rehearsals, booking recording sessions, and arranging any additional lessons.
Recording any part of a lesson is not permitted without teacher permission.
Cremona students may take lessons from multiple faculty members in consultation with their lead teacher. Our faculty collaborates through meetings, shared notes, and group programs to support each student’s progress.
If a lead teacher is unavailable due to personal matters or performances, students may be recommended to work temporarily with another Cremona instructor.
During studio programs and events, we may take photos or videos for promotion and archival purposes.
Please notify us if you prefer not to have your or your child’s photos included. We strive to provide a nurturing and respectful learning environment. Behavior that undermines this environment may result in immediate discontinuation of lessons or program participation.
Thank you for being a part of the Cremona community!
