Objective
To thoroughly prepare for the NJMEA Region Orchestra audition. This intensive is for violin, viola, and cello students who are planning to audition for NJMEA Region & All-State Orchestra program for the 2024-25 season.
workshop overview
Participants will go through fingerings and bowings in detail as well as establish practice tempos and goal tempos for each requirement. Instructors will guide each student with a practice plan to master the required scales, piece/excerpts, and improve sight-reading.

Please purchase the required piece for the audition and bring it to the workshop and any questions you may have.
Program Schedule
Day 1 (2hrs) - fingerings, bowings for the required scales and required piece/excerpts
Day 2 (2hrs) - sight reading & establish practice plan: practice tempos and goal tempos for each excerpt, review techniques needed for each section
Day 3 (2hrs) - mock audition: perform the audition, receive comments, polish, and repeat
